Fans of the charismatic country music legend Dolly Parton are in for a treat next year when a museum dedicated to the Jolene singer launches in Nashville, Tennessee. “Opening in 2026 on the third floor of Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel in the heart of Nashville, Dolly’s Life of Many Colours Museum will be the “largest exhibit celebrating her life in the world to date, spanning every dynamic decade from the top of the mountains to the top of the world,” says a statement. The new institution promises to throw light on the Great Smoky Mountains songbird’s “music and movies [along with her] family and faith”. Let’s hope that some of the most famous depictions of Dolly by major artists such as Andy Warhol—his 1984 silkscreen celebrates her golden curls and mesmerising mouth—also go on show one day in the new Dolly display.
