The reconstructed San Pier Maggiore Altarpiece by Jacopo di Cione is mounted on a plinth at one end of the main “nave” of the Sainsbury Wing galleries. In front of it, Fra Angelico’s altar panels from San Domenico, Fiesole, are presented lower than before to emphasise their predella function
