Naomi Campbell, the fashion legend and activist, is being celebrated with an exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. “Naomi: In Fashion,” on view from June 22, 2024 to April 6, 2025, will showcase a survey of the model’s 40-year career in the fashion industry.

This first-of-its-kind exhibition, supported by BOSS, will trace Campbell’s beginnings in south London to her meteoric rise to worldwide fame, depicting her evolution as a cultural icon and fashion trailblazer. The museum will feature about 100 of Campbell’s outfits, including a 1989 Thierry Mugler corset and a pink Valentino ensemble from the 2019 Met Gala. It will also include pieces from renowned designers like Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, Chanel, Gianni and Donatella Versace, Jean Paul Gaultier, John Galliano, Karl Lagerfeld, Virgil Abloh, Vivienne Westwood, and others.

“Naomi Campbell’s extraordinary career intersects with the best of high fashion,” said Sonnet Stanfill, senior curator of fashion at the Victoria and Albert Museum. “She is recognized worldwide as a supermodel, activist, philanthropist, and creative collaborator, making her one of the most prolific and influential figures in contemporary culture. We’re delighted to be working with Naomi Campbell on this project and to celebrate her career with our audiences.”

Another highlight of the exhibition will be a focus on Campbell’s activism and advocacy for diversity in fashion. It will shine light on her contributions to organizations like the Black Girls Coalition and The Diversity Coalition. Then, the show will spotlight Campbell’s current work with Arise Fashion Week and her own global program EMERGE, both of which support emerging creatives in the industry.

“Naomi: In Fashion” will also be accompanied by a publication by the same name, featuring an exclusive interview with Campbell.
