Three artists featured in the Untitled Art fair (until 8 December) have won this year’s Vortic Art Prize, awarded by the fair and Vortic, the digital exhibition platform. First prize went to a decidedly analogue work, The Screen with Sudare (2022) by the emerging artist Shu Okamoto, who is trained in traditional Japanese painting and showing with the Kyoto-based gallery Cohju.

Okamoto will receive $5,000 cash plus an Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality headset. The Colombian painter Jhonatan Pulido, the second-place prize winner for his painting Papayo (2024), will receive $2,500 and an Oculus Quest 2 headset of his own. The third-place winner, sculptor Tarini Sethi, will also receive a headset.
