Marc Glimcher, president and CEO of Pace Gallery, is selling his Palm Beach home, listed at $24.95 million with Sotheby’s International Realty handling the listing.

The six-bedroom waterfront Art Moderne home, known as the “Boat House” and dating to the 1930s, was the first house that architect Belford Shoumate designed in Palm Beach, Florida. It spans 4,848 square feet and features a unique nautical design with teak flooring, porthole windows, and exposed railings. Located on Lake Way with 65 feet of water frontage, it offers open access to the Intracoastal Waterway.

Shoumate’s design, his first commission in Palm Beach in 1937, marked a departure from the Mediterranean style prevalent in the area. The home, initially named “Fore and Aft,” was landmarked in 1987 and remains a significant Art Deco structure in Palm Beach. It features light-filled rooms, a pool terrace, and a dock for a 65-foot boat. The prow-like section of the home houses a semi-circular sitting room with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool.

In 2017, Todd Glaser and his wife Kim bought and restored the home, earning the Preservation Foundation’s Polly Earl Award. In 2021, Glimcher purchased it for $14.3 million and added modern upgrades such as new air conditioners and an infrared sauna. Initially listed for $30 million in 2023, the price was adjusted by current marketers John and Lisa Cregan of Sotheby’s International Realty.
