Fancy some sourdough bread while wandering the sculpture garden of Dulwich Picture Gallery in south London? Or some tasty burrata as you browse works by Yinka Shonibare and the duo Rob and Nick Carter? The popular venue is launching “an exciting new farmers’ market”, offering “organic produce, delicious food and refreshments, and handcrafted goods and unique gifts”.

Dulwich Picture Gallery Farmer’s Market is being managed in conjunction with Slow Food in the UK, an organisation that promotes local produce and traditional cooking. The market is due to be held weekly from 23 March (don’t spill any sun-dried tomatoes on any of the Old Masters, please).

Meanwhile this summer the gallery itself will be presenting an exhibition by Rachel Jones, the first-ever solo contemporary show in its hallowed main exhibition space (10 June-19 October).
