Frieze New York 2025 has announced its exhibitor list and programming details, with the fair set to return to The Shed in Hudson Yards from May 7th–11th. In total, 68 galleries from more than 25 countries will participate, the same number that showed at Frieze New York 2024.

The 2025 edition will include all four mega-galleries (Hauser & Wirth, Pace, Gagosian, and David Zwirner) as well as internationally recognized galleries from across the globe. Galleries confirmed for the main section include Esther Schipper, Victoria Miro, Thaddaeus Ropac, and White Cube.

Major New York galleries such as Casey Kaplan, James Cohan, and Tina Kim Gallery will also be exhibiting. There is also a significant contingent of Brazilian names, including A Gentil Carioca, Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel, Galería Vermelho, Nara Roesler, and Central Galeria.

The Focus section, dedicated to young galleries presenting solo projects, will be curated by Lumi Tan, a writer and curator known for her tenure as senior curator at The Kitchen in New York. This year’s selection welcomes seven newcomers: French gallery Champ Lacombe, London tastemakers Public Gallery, King’s Leap from New York, and Voloshyn Gallery, which are based in Kyiv and Miami.

“Each year, Frieze New York brings together art galleries, artists, and collectors from around the world,” wrote Christine Messineo, Frieze’s director of Americas in a statement. “Over several days, dynamic voices that shape today’s international art world engage with the best and the brightest in New York City’s rich cultural landscape. The result is an experience that deepens one’s understanding and enjoyment of contemporary art.”

Frieze New York 2025 is set to take place during a packed week of art fairs in the city. Other events taking place include:

  • Independent New York, which will take place from May 8th–11th hosting 88 galleries at Spring Studios.
  • TEFAF New York, which will take place at the Park Avenue Armory from May 9th–13th, hosting 91 exhibitors.
  • Future Fair, which will take place from May 7th–10th at the Chelsea Industrial.
  • The New York edition of 1-54, which will take place from May 8th–11th at The Halo.
  • NADA New York, which will take place from May 7th–11th.

Frieze New York 2025 comes at a pivotal time for Frieze as a company. It was reported late last year that the fair’s parent company Endeavor is exploring selling off Frieze’s fair and media brand. Frieze Los Angeles 2025, which faced challenges locally due to the recent wildfires in California, takes place this week.
