We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Partnerships and Art Fairs Coordinator to join our team to support the Head of Partnerships in all initiatives with key stakeholders in the art world, with a specific focus on art fairs.

The Partnerships and Art Fairs Coordinator will play a pivotal role in nurturing relationships with art fairs globally, to enhance The Art Newspaper’s brand visibility and market presence. This individual will leverage their expertise in partnership coordination, and art market knowledge to support our network, revenue, and create mutually beneficial partnerships.

Key responsibilities

1. Art Fair Partnerships: Maintain strong relationships with art fairs worldwide, including major international events, regional fairs, and specialised exhibitions. Serve as a primary liaison between The Art Newspaper and art fair organisers, fostering collaboration and alignment on strategic objectives. Support the Head of Partnerships in maintaining and nurturing all relationships with art fairs across the world.

2. Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for engaging with art fairs, aligning partnership activities with The Art Newspaper’s overall business goals and editorial priorities. Oversee all fairs logistics including team travel and support distribution.

3. Campaign Management: Collaborate with internal teams to support integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives that leverage art fair partnerships to drive brand awareness, audience engagement. Coordinate promotional activities, events, and content creation efforts.

4. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, serving as the primary point of contact for art fair-related inquiries and initiatives. Foster trust and rapport through effective communication, regular meetings, and proactive engagement.

5. Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor the performance of art fair partnerships against predefined metrics and KPIs. Provide regular reports and analysis to stakeholders, highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and actionable insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Art History, or related field.
  • Proven experience (2-3 years) in partnership coordination, business development, or related roles within the arts, media, or cultural sector, with a focus on art fairs.
  • Strong network and existing relationships within the art fair industry, including organisers, exhibitors, sponsors, and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving successful partnerships and revenue growth.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Passion for the arts, cultural heritage, and journalism.
